While we may not officially be under “lockdown,” I have basically still been quarantining myself. Being busy with classes has helped keep the stir-craziness at bay for the most part. Grocery outings, picking up food, appointments and a couple of Target runs have been the extent of my outings. To make these not-so-exciting outings feel a little more like occasions, I’ve been dressing myself up whenever I go out. I’ve also spent the occasional day-in dressed up, just to keep things interesting! Trying to avoid being my pajamas every day has led me to develop a mini “quarantine” wardrobe of simple and classic pieces.
Just imagine all of these looks with a mask!

Summer in Georgia is pretty much unbearable, so shorts are a must. These denim shorts from Abercrombie are the only denim shorts I wear. They’re very comfortable and super high-waisted – a must!
Besides my Birkenstocks, these leopard-print ladies from J.Crew have been my go-to shoes all summer. Leopard truly is a neutral! I’ve been wearing them with most of my outfits to add some fun.

I am a huge fan of button-up tops, or really anything with buttons. A strange affinity to have, but alas. For the sticky Georgia summers we endure, this billowy, and incredibly light and soft, short-sleeved button up has been a favorite. I often wear it over a swimsuit as a cover up, but love tucking it into shorts or jeans when going out as well.
They don’t call an LBD a classic for nothing! I’ve had this dress in my wardrobe for years, a Goodwill original, and never get tired of it. With leopard-print shoes, or some metallic sandals and some fun earrings, it’s both comfortable and elegant, without being stuffy.

Jumpsuits and dresses are the easiest way to create an outfit. They’re basically already an outfit on their own! I’ve been slipping this jumpsuit on a lot when going out or wanting to dress up around the house. Easy and comfortable, without being hot.

The very last outfit of this wardrobe features a trend that I never thought I would get into – bike shorts! While this isn’t much of a “look,” it is what I’ve been wearing a lot. The henley tank-top I’m wearing is from Target. They’re incredibly soft and comfortable – I have them in 3 different colors. As someone with a very short torso and long legs, this is one of the only tank-tops I can find that doesn’t go down over my butt! At only $8, they’re a great find for lounging at home, or casual outings.
It’s a pity you don’t have a donate button! I’d most certainly donate to this excellent blog! I guess for now i’ll settle for book-marking and adding your RSS feed to my Google account. I look forward to brand new updates and will share this blog with my Facebook group. Chat soon!
